Look Tile, you're relatively new to YTMND, so let me explain some sh*t. Yeah a lot of it is a popularity contest, but some of it is from editing skill. I mean why does anyone vote for ANYTHING? It's usually because they know and relate the person or they think the person has some skill (I'm talking about all elections or whatever). So yeah, a lot of times I vote because I know and recognize the people making the YTMND. Sometimes its because the YTMND is good.

I mean really if you want to get your sh*t on the U&C it has to be 1) good on some level. 2) You have to do some campaigning to get your sh*t noticed. That's true with most electioneering or whatnot. If your sh*t is good, and people don't like you then they'll vote 1 on your sh*t. That's also true of a lot of art and sh*t. If people don't like the artist then they'll think his art sucks. My point is YTMND is not all about being an awesome editor. YTMND is a community where people come and shoot the sh*t...

...with people they recognize. Don't take it so personally. I make sh*t and think it's pretty good and then some 13 year old downvotes the sh*t. w/e. I dont give a f*ck. It's going to happen.
