| I think what he had listed is actually appropriate. 99% of the people viewing this digg will look at his list, perhaps look at the front page (of which they will be horrified) and forget about it. That's probably for the best. The fact is, those top-viewed sites do have mass appeal - that is, in fact, why they are most viewed. HtPaTM is a HORRIBLE example of a YTMND, yet anyone can find it funny because it needs no introduction. | ||||||
| I know I view/use YTMND almost as a secret hobby. I don't want classmates/coworkers thinking it's funny. I don't care. The only YTMNDs I ever link outside of this community are ones similar to those top-viewed. Every piece of art has to choose its place between exhibition and cult value. The more restrictive a piece of 'art' is, the more powerful... always. | ||||||
