This caused mental distress to Narita Top Road who took about a month to recover from this incident before he could continue racing professionally.
Stay Gold was known as the 'Terrorist of the Racecourse' as he would often run in a zigzag pattern and impede other horses.
The jockey, Hiroki Goto, had crashed into T.M. Opera O previously while riding a different horse. After the race, the owner of T.M. Opera O berated him for crashing into him again. His riding license was then suspended for three months.
Stay Gold had a habit of smelling his own feces, crying, and then proceeding to smell it again. This habit was passed onto his son Orfevre. Stay Gold bit Special Week's tail.
