GamerGate refers to the online backlash against perceived breaches of journalistic integrity on video game news sites that occurred as a result of the Quinnspiracy, an online controversy surrounding indie game developer Zoe Quinn's alleged affairs with a number of men working in the video game industry, including Kotaku staff writer Nathan Grayson. The term has also since been used to describe the group of internet users, based mainly on Twitter, who claim that there is a lack of transparency within the video game journalism industry. These same people have also been criticized of practicing misogyny and sexism by many, through harassment and trolling, referring to their opposition as social justice warriors.

Chita is a nice person and very accepting. She takes platonic compliments from Willy, the local hobo in the bar she works at and loves when her best friend and fiànce Phil and his cousin Jack visits her at work. Chita believes that by reading Us Weekly, watching the Daily Show, and studying The Secret, she can build a time machine and be a comedic version of a modern day Nostradamus. Princess Yona/Lena/Rina is the titular protagonist of the manga and anime series, Akatsuki no Yona. Shin is a former dragon who has taken on human form. They can appear as either male or female. Their height is 2 meters (79 inches). This is their usual appearance. They can also have long hair. Shin always has a blank expression but is generally in a good mood. They have a calm personality, are interested in humans, and view them relatively favourably. Shin's strength is the greatest among dragons. Approaching them carelessly might result in injury. Since the period after Shin took on human form has been short, they appear somewhat out of touch with the world. It seems they don't wear underwear either. This is Shin during their childhood. Shin does not remember why they transformed from a dragon into a human, nor do they know how to revert to their dragon form. Although they have lived for about a thousand years, they have lost most of their memories. This is their half-dragon form.

Olivia Nuzzi, the political journalist who allegedly developed a "personal relationship" with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the campaign trail, has left New York magazine amid the fallout from their scandal. On Oct. 21, New York revealed in a statement that Nuzzi, 31, is no longer employed by the outlet, one month after she was placed on leave following allegations that she grew close to Kennedy while covering his independent presidential campaign. The statement said that New York and Nuzzi agreed to "part ways" despite a third-party review concluding that she did not show signs of bias in her reporting. "Last month, the magazine enlisted the law firm Davis Wright Tremaine to review Olivia Nuzzi’s work during the 2024 campaign," the magazine's statement reads. "They reached the same conclusion as the magazine’s initial internal review of her published work, finding no inaccuracies nor evidence of bias." The statement continued: "Nevertheless, the magazine and Nuzzi agreed that the best course forward is to part ways. Nuzzi is a uniquely talented writer and we have been proud to publish her work over her nearly eight years as our Washington Correspondent. We wish her the best."
