Rachel Brosnahan has continued the tradition of naked dresses at the Met Gala.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actress walked the carpet in an eye-catching, gothic look by Sergio Hudson comprised of a long-sleeved top made of sheer black mesh, attached built-in gloves, and a low-rise column skirt. The gown included two strategically-placed sequin adornments on the chest, as well as scattered sequins along the midsection and sleeves.
The actress added a trailing black coat with silver lining, which she wore draped over her shoulders. Her accessories included an array of rings and custom gold and diamond ear climbers by Simon G. She continued the dramatic aesthetic with her beauty look, wearing her hair slicked back into a ponytail, paired with black eyeliner.
This is Brosnahan's third appearance at the Met Gala, after attending 2019's camp-themed festivities and last year's event. For the 2022 party, she embraced the "gilded glamour" theme in a sparkling gown covered in gold circular sequins, which featured a plunging neckline, and a cutout at the waist covered in crisscross straps.

Since January 7, 2025, an ongoing series of 23 catastrophic wildfires have affected the Los Angeles metropolitan area and surrounding regions. The fires have been exacerbated by drought conditions, low humidity, and hurricane-force Santa Ana winds, which in some places have reached 100 miles per hour (160 km/h; 45 m/s). As of January 14, 2025, the wildfires have killed at least 25 people, forced nearly 180,000 to evacuate, and destroyed or damaged more than 12,401 structures. Most of the damage has been done by the two largest fires: the Palisades Fire in Pacific Palisades and the Eaton Fire in Altadena. They are likely the second and fourth most destructive fires in California's history, respectively.
