what started with the vocorder inserting spacey sounds onto disco tracks has become an auto-tuned standardization. one person's unoriginality is another's comforting familiarity. pop music tends to require this banal repetition, as the sound is often just a vehicle for the latest fashions and products it sells along with it. people who are "into music" are marketed to differently.

The 70's weren't gay! I actually very much enjoy disco and rock from the 70's. Gloria Gaynor, KISS, AC/DC, and Donna Summer (not to mention the Village People & Led Zeppelin) epically PWN. Disco Kid himself, however, is still gay.
