I remember at my school there was this totally glib lab tech who, when I explained that I was doing a voltmod to my motherboard, is like "lol, get a mac"... What a f*cken idiot, and I would've told him so had he not given me free parts to do the voltmod ;). I'd say this: get a mac if you want to take your computer out of your box, plug it in and get to work; enjoy the lack of hardware upgrades and not being able to do much tweaking, etc. If you want to push your comp to the extreme (gamer, modder...) get PC

All it is is a money trap, bent on charging you more for inferior material. Besides, Macs have no value in business purposes, focusing on expensive recreational hardware and software and not the basics, such as spreadsheets and word processing. Steve Jobs tries to play on your generations expected confusion with some aspects of PC's, when while you should just learn how to use the better machine and be compatible with 95% of the world, he sells you a more expensive, inferior, yet "cooler" computer. MACs do have one redeeming quality though: their OS is Unix based. Sure PCs are more versatile pieces of hardware, but that still doesn't change that fact that their most mainstream OS, Windows, is an all around sh*tty OS. Although you could always install Linux on your PC, it's just too bad that you can't run games on it without using some third-party application that only works half of the time.

Anti-Mac comments with highly biased and ignorant rants are irrelevant. The argument shouldn't be Mac vs. PC, it should be about well engineered hardware or a superior OS vs. Windows, an outdated, insecure, proprietary behemoth mess of an OS. Obviously there is a need for versatile gaming machines. But It's about supporting a better alternative. Regardless of what form it comes in. Macs are just proof that there are better engineered machines and better designed software out there.
