Legacy errors. Windows is full of them.
Microsoft had (thus far) 2 chances to ditch the legacy and failed. 95 & NT. Each a rewrite (losely) based on preveous incarnations of Windows. They need a white paper rewrite.

Also, "The warp core, its overloading!" should be "The warp core, it's overloading!" "Its" is a possessive form; "it's" is a contraction of "it is." It's a common mistake, but you should know about the apostrophe and its proper usage.
