they film in iceland because Magnus Scheving the creator and one of the main characters from the show (Sportacus) is from there. Stefan Karl (Robbie Rotten) is also from iceland. if you ever watched the show you'd notice they both have funny accents. it started out as a play over there, and it became a big franchise which did really well. so they made an english version and brought it here... and there's more than you ever wanted to know about LazyTown.

Do you even notice what happens when internet jokes explode? People want to be able to say they were a part of making that big. Remember that damn prairie dog? someone stole it from jj.am which hosts 4chan images who got it from some japanese tv show. a YTMNDer threw some music to it and called it a dramatic chipmunk then changed it to goatse. Some f*g copied the ytmnd and got to the top viewed. Then it gets posted on myspace. Then it explodes onto the internet then into those f*ggot t-shirts.
