As a personal opinion, I believe that the Bible is nothing but a book of moral codes and fairy tales. And the idea of God is just that: an idea. God did not create humans, but humans created God in their minds. The whole problem with proving God's existence is that the intellectuals who believe He exists only work towards finding counterexamples that defeat anything that naysayers of God have claimed, they don't actually provide any REAL proof. And the naysayers still sit around waiting for proof.

It's about time someone said it. As I said before, any intellectually honest person will admit that there's a possibility of the existence of a God, but also that you can't prove this existence with 100% certainty. Well played.

"^That's just my point, stupid. If you bring up African American people and
insult them in a derrogatory way, you can't expect people to never ever
bring up African Americans. I mean, come on. Don't be such a fool, I was
hoping for a more intellectual challenge. :("
Oh please. My point was that *no one brings it up* -- because there's no way of making it funny. Similarly, people who can't figure out a way to make it funny to say "HAY GUYZ STOP MAKING FUN OF JESUS ;_;" should stop making f*cking YTMNDs about it and go back to calling into Rush Limbaugh's program and saying "I AGREE, THE WAR ON CHRISTMAS IS TERRIBLE!!!"

also kingd you're a f*cking idiot. The fellation thing was a joke based on these premesis: a) Christians believe that it is sinful for men to have sex with other men, b) Everyone on YTMND is male, c) Christians on YTMND suck each other's c*cks incessantly, d) this is ironic for obvious reasons. Another ironic thing is that you accuse me of being stupid and incapable of intellectual debate when you, yourself, are clearly incapable of such a lofty goal.

An initial cause does not imply an aware entity. All you've done is point out the paradox of the infinitely previous cause. Making up a supernatural answer to a difficult question is an intellectual cop-out.
But you were much more intelligent and less patronizing than the others, so four.

Dear YTMNDers: There is a forum for this sort of -- as one user aptly calls it -- intellectual masturbation. It's called USENET. It went out of style in 1996, about the time you kids were being weaned from yer Mom's titties. If you want to debate the existence of God, get some decent grades, go to university, and major in Philosophy. In the mean time, please make funnier stuff for me to read while I'm drunk. Yours truly, D. Wayne Love.

Jesus Christ, there are some dense motherf*ckers around here...The charity isn't for Irwin's family. It's for conservation work. I can't believe a person could fail to understand that. And of course no one was intellectually shocked by his death; you hang around dangerous wild animals enough and the risk of death is going to escalate. I would imagine his daughter was repeating stuff she probably heard her parents say all the time, in that interview.

For those of you unaware, failure to not properly cite sources is PLAGIARISM and is a CRIME. citing sources is the difference between stealing another's work and claiming it as your own, and properly giving proper to the original creator and intellectual property owner of the work. it's what seperates YTMND from ebaumsworld.

I've met Ingrid. Ever met somebody who really feels like they, and NO OTHER HUMAN BEING WHO WALKS THE EARTH, have a special mission in life - to speak for one cause, to be the voice for the voiceless, to ignore all other points of view by necessity because no one considers theirs, intellectually dishonest and solipsistic because of what they feel is a God-Given-Right to be ? No, you've probably never met anyone like that - then you meet Ingrid. She's all personable and nice, but you get the feeling that this is one woman who has NEVER, EVER had an orgasm and doesn't really believe they're real. (pls shrink img a wee bit, cuts off at the bottom, thx)

"IMO, this 20sec vid with catchy music>

After realizing that a lot, not all, of the people who fived this never knew any of this...I now realize why intellectual sites that provoke thought get downvoted........*sigh*

Panda might as well be trying to give a detailed literary analysis on Beavis and Butthead, because this site is about on that same intellectual level in most cases. This site put a big smile on my face. Sometimes you just have to stop overanalyzing every little aspect of everything, else you find yourself becoming incredibly anal. Also: if you miss the so-called good ol' days, how might you consider a joke based upon a black man stealing a skinny white boxer's bike to be any more intellectually stimulating than a group of rogue piranha plants destroying the city?

I 5 this for the presentation and thought provoking content. Now, I am not a religious man, but these testimonies are from people who generally didn't care for religion (even criticized it with smugness, at least when I do it, I do it eloquently and from a purely intellectual perspective). It should be known that that website with the index has an obvious Christian bias. What happens to the Buddhists? You never hear from other religions about this phenomenon, perhaps there is something to this?

Dude...I only wish that 'believers' would accept that God is looking for spiritual fruits, not religious nuts, and stop being *ssh*l*es (Not targeted to said spiritual fruit,) And that atheists and those with religions could share an intellectual, philosophical point without being getting flamed to the next millenium. This site is truly beautiful, it reminds me of dear things I have forgotten.

I would love to 5 this, because it's well-done, and even as a Christian, I adore Carl Sagan. But I can't. Sites like this only fan the flames of anger between Christians and Atheists, and they don't need more fanning (and I have said this to Whetstone and his ilk as well). As a side note, I agree Atheists are capable of seeing the beauty in nature without religion, but I don't think "beauty" was Carl Sagan's point - actually, it was more of an intellectual way of saying "be excellent to each other.
