I had to go look, my god. the post just a few before that:<br /><br />"Words cannot express how infuriated I am that Mud Pride beat Brock. It's not just that the mestizo beat a powerful nordic white man, but the sight of all those faggy mexican flags ... some of them being held up by white people - it sickens me.<br /><br />I was actually starting to kind of like Brock after his apparent attitude change, and to see him get mauled like that is just sad. But then to see the mexifags waving their flag raised my rage to levels it shouldn't be at sitting at my desk at home. We would never be able to support a white fighter with racial solidarity without being called any number of names. But everyone is just hunky-dory to go along with mud pride and his racial fans. Sometimes I crave a w... nevermind - this is too public to post what I'm feeling after being inundated with mexican flags and latino bullsht. The hypocrisy will stoke the flames vengeance.<br /><br />I knew Brock was overhyped from day one, but he was starting to win me over (especially with the kick-ass beard) and I was hoping he could beat Cain. But technique beat brawn this time. Perhaps he'll be back. Who knows. But now it's time to find someone to kick Cain's ass."<br />I don't even watch this shit! If I see another Tapout t-shirt, mud or honkey I'm going to wipe some ass with my steel-toed flip flops!

I remember when I used to think like you, eightbitprodigy. I've always been mad when my sites were downvoted, too. Actually I gave up long time ago, but not because I think ytmnd has become full of shit, but because I don't recognize this site anymore. Many things have changed (and I'm not talking about the much needed improvements) to the point of being a place completely different from where I belonged. This site left too much space for childish experiments, half-assed trolling, confusing creations; but luckily I don't waste my time complaining much about it (that's not to say that you're wasting your time.) Instead I try to observe the evolution of this site, which is now different like a teenager inexplicably angry with their parents. If I tried to make a new site just now (I have more than 4 in my head and I'm incredibly afraid to make and upload them) it could get downvoted in a matter of minutes. And, not to be cocky, I made good stuff. But, recently, good stuff as I know it is kinda underrated. Take that as one of the few reasons I back your decision completely. Maybe we and the other "good users", as I like to call them, could come back making sites and forget about the time when ytmnd was a place full of crap. Crap is the new black, I suppose. But I'm not against it, like you I have very limited power.

Wow, so this is what projects look like in community college. If I were your media professor I would give you a B-. You showed some originality, but really said nothing new about internet trolling or the anon effect. Books have already been written on better examples of the effect you were studying. If you wanted to explore the power of anonymity study /b/... well that would be too chaotic, maybe /r9k/. YTMND would have been a better vehicle to explore collaborative post-modern art and the genesis of memes, not trolling.

First, people have to stop saying the wildly abused term 'making money' because in reality, no one is actually making their own money. They sell themselves as a timely commodity to meet an agreeable interest for invisible contracts. While we feel responsible with the accessibility it grants, money has become no different than the impersonal voucher for a more accomplished life; not a deserved one. The working man is truly a sucker (if he mixes pleasure with power).

True brilliance was few and far between, but two years ago or so, I could at least ironically enjoy most sites that I viewed. It was never the content that kept me coming back, as much as it was an idea that this kind of platform existed and it could be driven by a tightly knit community for our mutual benefit. Other sites were corporate driven, were divisive and unsure about its identity, or interested in promoting their own content, which made ytmnd appealing on principle alone. Of course the end result is a failed experiment where we can safely conclude that people cannot bet trusted with the power to maintain aggregations where every action influences the production and style of content. In short, the novelty is long gone, and I spent an unfortunate amount of time trying to recapture it, and becoming a part of a system that I have grown to despise.

and pressed down the levers which controlled it, I knew at once by the whishing sound that there was a slight leakage, which allowed a regurgitation of water through one of the side cylinders. An examination showed that one of the india-rubber bands which was round the head of a driving-rod had shrunk so as not quite to fill the socket along which it worked. This was clearly the cause of the loss of power, and I pointed it out to my companions, who followed my remarks very carefully and several practical questions as to how they should proceed to set it right. When I had made it clear to them, I returned to the main chamber of the machine and took a good look at it to satisfy my own curiosity. 1. All other previous 2nd amendment right rulings regarding individual right up until recent court. (Look it up)<br /><br />2. Federal list papers were authored by Constitutional framers to show intent. (Intent theory)<br /><br />3. Well its kind of of common sense that they aren’t people, isn't it? Not until the Union Pacific Railroad vs. Santa Clara county ruling were it was just stated matter of factly without justification by a proven corrupt supreme court has the idea been supported by US law. Framers absolutely would have been against this corrupt idea.<br /><br />4. Your kind of make a straw man here. I know that the majority of powerful politicians are driven by ego and greed. For example I'm not a fan of Obama at all. However, I will speak up when people are stating rhetoric filled fallacies.<br />I don't like the majority of modern conservatives because so many are what I refer to as "true believers" who like their communist opposites will follow and push for disastrous policy despite forceful arguments and information to the contrary. They just believe and the facts and good policy be damned. Are you going to tell me that current liberals are driven by fear and greed. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and the common run of the mill congressional and senate democrats are not liberals contrary again to what talk radio and internet blogs tell many people. The only liberals I see are Russ Feingold and Bernie Sanders. All the other Democratic politicians of major national seats tow whatever corporate line their donors have them. All the Republicans do all because that is their MO. They however are more brazen about their behavior because their voters are visceral single issue voters or have misinformed views, unless however they are rich, then it would make sense to be Republican.
