decided to read comments because its in favs but Lincoln never wanted White Supremacy, he just wanted to stop the expansion of slavery in his election of 1860 platform (which was the last straw which caused secession when he won), but during the midst of the what was supposed to be the "short" war, he wanted to make them suffer.
