Or it could just be a bunch of rituals done by priest(s) done unquestioningly against acts the catholic church declares to be "demonic". Like having too much sex or eating too many cookies or whatever.<br /><br />For me to be convinced that an exorcism is meaningful, it would have to be demonstrated to me that the allegedly demon possessed person was in fact, demon possessed. What I would find convincing is if that person did things that are impossible for humans to do. Like flying around the room, blasting laser beam vision, growing to 20 feet tall, turning into a rabbit, farting lightning bolts, picking up a tractor trailer truck with one hand or something else normally impossible for a person.<br /><br />[b]It would not be good enough for me that the allegedly possessed person merely did things like vomit at people, scream real loud, develop warts, spit blood, contort their body weirdly, because that can all be faked or done by a decent actor.[/b]<br /><br />THEN I would have to have it proven to me that after the priests deal with [i]the proven to be demon possessed person[/i] that the person is then unable to do any of the things mentioned above.

There's this new cartoon on PBS called Daniel Tiger's neighborhood. It makes all the world of make believe characters come to life in cartoon form.<br /><br />They use all of Mr Roger's songs, characters, sayings and whatnot, but all homogenized. Like Lady Elaine is just some regular woman instead of a crazy scary psychopathic puppet and King Friday, Prince Tuesday and the owl have zero personality. The Daniel tiger puppet was always shy and coy, but this new one is all outgoing and acts like Syd the Science kid.<br /><br />They never ever mention Mr. Rogers in any way.<br /><br />I think it's a huge betrayal to him and it pisses me off.

This is insane. I need a chronology/companion to go back and see the evolution of this thing, like when I decided to try sequentially reading spiderman from front to back and had to make sense of which publications to read (amazing, spectacular, web of, self titled, etc). Also spectacular spiderman had some of the most horrendous blocky art I've ever seen. If you're ever looking for inspiration, don't let it be from that.
