Well, it is a different version of the song I found elsewhere.<br /><br />I'm on the fence about your position. <br /><br />On the one hand, credit where credit is due is a worthy aspiration. I don't intend to steal credit from anyone or claim I invented a joke.<br /><br />On the other hand, the viral nature of alternate, evolving memes is organic and naturally spreads through the communal consciousness. Not every new version of an idea has to pay full tribute the the ancients. There are no new ideas, only new interpretations of old ones.<br /><br />Furthermore, I think mine, the next one and subsequent ones are different enough form the original to stand on their own.<br /><br />Now, if your goal is to preserve order and good citizenry at YTMND, I can appreciate that. But let's face it... the place is largely abandoned by moderation, as made evident by multiple alt accounts, numerous spam sites and a lot of hostile trolling.<br /><br />I try to be a good netizen in my own way, but I'm constantly let down by the lack of moderation and falsely promised prizes for several contests I've won. I won't use that as an excuse to be a malicious user. I will follow the spirit, if not the letter of the law. I do appreciate that the site still runs at someones financial expense, and my tribute is to be an active contributor, rather than a full-on anarchist.<br /><br />Conversely ,if you're just being a control freak, that's okay, I know a lot of control freaks :) but I won't let it shape my way of doing things.<br /><br />I have been using my site title as citations for a few years now. I have struggled with this issue. I am sympathetic to both sides of the debate. I don't encourage unprotected sex, or having kids while being unable to afford raising them. I think encouraging people to eliminate those would help reduce incidents of abortion. Problem is that a lot of women who hastily decide to have kids were not really raised properly. Or maybe they don't have access to the pill or other contraceptive devices.<br /><br />I think abortion and poorly thought out pregnancy should both be discouraged. I think if the woman decides she no longer wants to have a child, all possible alternatives should be exhausted first, like giving the child to adoptive parents.<br /><br />I think only then, if there are absolutely no reasonable alternatives, like when no reasonably decent parents can take the child AND the biological parents are unwilling and/or unable to be effective parents (lets say one or both of them is a drug addict, a severely handicapped person, legally insane, felony criminal record or the parents are young teens), then maybe abortion should be considered.<br /><br />But I am more forgiving towards abortions resulting from rape.

Also, I want to correct myself, they can actually be of very different ages in my view, provided that both are adults. I'll go so far as to say a 60 year old dating a 21 year old is technically okay in my book (but I would feel uneasy about it), but not a 60 year old dating a 15 year old.
