I have struggled with this issue. I am sympathetic to both sides of the debate. I don't encourage unprotected sex, or having kids while being unable to afford raising them. I think encouraging people to eliminate those would help reduce incidents of abortion. Problem is that a lot of women who hastily decide to have kids were not really raised properly. Or maybe they don't have access to the pill or other contraceptive devices.<br /><br />I think abortion and poorly thought out pregnancy should both be discouraged. I think if the woman decides she no longer wants to have a child, all possible alternatives should be exhausted first, like giving the child to adoptive parents.<br /><br />I think only then, if there are absolutely no reasonable alternatives, like when no reasonably decent parents can take the child AND the biological parents are unwilling and/or unable to be effective parents (lets say one or both of them is a drug addict, a severely handicapped person, legally insane, felony criminal record or the parents are young teens), then maybe abortion should be considered.<br /><br />But I am more forgiving towards abortions resulting from rape.

Also, I want to correct myself, they can actually be of very different ages in my view, provided that both are adults. I'll go so far as to say a 60 year old dating a 21 year old is technically okay in my book (but I would feel uneasy about it), but not a 60 year old dating a 15 year old.

To fix the white border all you have to do is use photoshop to select the white area, and clear it. Just erasing it will not work, if you have done it right there should be little grey tiles instead of plain white in the area you want to be transparent.
