Oh my god, I hope someone got fired over all those facts! By the way there is a reason it's called a monster and not an undersea lifeform, because it's a monster! Besides the most realistic fake drawing "leaked" by the movie company shows its body as that of a mutated seacow, and that alone would destroy most of those facts.

Yeah but "stopped" is such a weak word. More like we need to set the groundwork for a mass genocide of all who are complacent with their cause. Make no attempt to cover it up because there will be nothing to cover up. When the time is right, the corpses will litter the streets for a while, there will be a clean up, and all buildings assosiated with the cult will be torn down in a safe manner. Complete and total extinction is what is called for.

standard internet responses make me sad. "Religion causes wars" is the standard red herring thrown out by people who know nothing of either religion or war. All they know is they don't want some meddling god telling them what's moral or not, and they need a grander sounding platform than "I don't want there to be a higher power because it makes me uncomfortable." Just my opinion.

America belongs to the africoon descendants? I'm sorry, would you please show me any modern invention that was created by a slave? Would you please show me a modern skyscraper built by slaves? How about a modern highway? In fact, is there actually anything left from the f*cking 1800s that was actually built by slave labor? Your lame argument that America belongs to the slaves because they built it all is completely lame. Also c*cks.

This is true to a point. Shock jock radio shows do it all the time though, and never really get as much heat as you think. Plus, after a few decades of making fun of them in the 20's, 30's, ect, we kinda have to bite out tounges a bit until they even things out. Back then it was presented as comedy, but there was a genuine hate behind it.

There is a difference. The noises that make up Jitz, Khan and Marv are inherently funny, and McKenzie just makes them even funnier in his different sites. When 5 out of the 10 U&C sites were dmaz's Hook sites, it was just obvious that dmaz watched Hook and thought 'this would be funny to stick pokemon/mario/etc in here and get fives'. dmaz is a good user, but I hated the Hook sites. It was just so forced and not really funny at all.

The judgment that something is beautiful is nothing but the claim that something appears designed though it may lack practical function. This appearance of design and unity in nature brings us to reject chance as a possible cause and we infer that there is a unified, perfect, mighty, wise, and self-sufficient Being behind that beauty. This may give us hope, but it cannot prove with certainty the existence of such a being. For that, we require a necessary being with all-embracing reality, which in turn must be shown necessarily exist.

I agree with what you're saying to a great extent. I think everything except extreme cases should be tolerated (some exceptions). There needs to be permanent and swift punishment, and the harshest punishment should be deletion. Account deleted - all sites deleted - all votes deleted - all comments deleted. Sure they can make another account but their "street cred" is gone. For those priding themselves on "how long they've been here" that's everything. Only by real consequences can behavior be deterred

I don't know where I should put suggestions, but here it goes: For the hall of fame list, I think that your idea of X votes by user depending on how much times you've been here is good. But it would be greatly improved if you, or the community of mods, have a right on veto on the sites being added to the Hall of Fame, This way it would prevents anything that doesn't deserve at all to be in there to corrupt the wonderful place the Hall of Fame will be.

I'm quite tired of talking and reading about the mod systems. Most of it's the same thing repeated. All I know is this, you can't and shouldn't moderate how people vote. If someone only wants to downvote, then that's fine. If someone only wants to upvote, then fine. There is nothing wrong if people only like noise sites, poorly developed sites, or sites that are nothing but regurgitated fads. Trying to moderate the quality of content isn't possible either.

I don't like the administrator being able to over rule everyone elses opinion (in all respect to Max) I just think that once we narrow it down to 2 choices by popular vote it would be a lot simpler for the 3 groups (av. people, mods, admin) to simply vote for the best one of the two and see from there who wins. Site A won the popular vote and was Max's choice, Site B won the moderators vote therefore Site A is the winner with 2 to 1.

I think there should be a list of hall of fame canidates every month by number of votes the two highest voted sites become the top two contenders and then we use the 3 vote rule where its the people, mods/super mods, Max all get one vote system. If one site has 3,000 more votes it gets the popular vote if 6 more mods like the other site more that gets one vote, and if Max liked the first site more that gets two votes now and is put in the hall of fame. Questions or ideas to make it better?

There is currently a glitch where a site flagged as NSFW by anyone will automatically become SFW if edited by the site creator in any way. This has been exploited numerous times to undo moderation decisions, although it should be easy to fix (all moderation is logged.) A question raised from this is how one can change a site from NSFW to SFW with the appropriate permissions, should they wish to repent (perhaps just telling them to recreate the site will suffice, but popular sites may be a different story.)

Weighted voting is a bad, bad idea. Just refer to all the anger that's stirred up over certain featured users. There are obviously people who DO NOT need any more power. Everyone should have the same voting power.

Well there is little I can do to offer much help but say that I have always appreciated all the work you've done for us. And while I have only contributed 4 crappy sites and been following ytmnd since june 04, a part of me does still feel like a member of the community, even if its a minuscule one. Please keep doing the work you do and realize we do appreciate it. I do have ONE idea...

Here's me participating. Anyone using alts to vote should be gone the first time they do it. This might already be happening, but I've seen countless people who have used alts either resurface later, or nothing is done at all (beyond deleting the alt accounts). I'm sure there's also been some exceptions for special cases as well, but from what I've seen way too many people get away with this and other violations of the TOS.

i like the google way... take all the humans out of the equation. or you could lean to the wikipedia way... only humans. but i dont really like that because there is always going to be someone with power that can be an *ss (im still banned from the ytmndwiki) . i think we should keep our focus on thinking of ways to get the computer to do the work for us. BUT for the hall of fame i think that needs a purely human touch. i think it would be interesting the have a supreme court type deal that deliberates it.

of healthy competition between users as well as inspiring more users to get involved more often. I for one rarely have good ideas on my own. There doesn't necessarily have to be a real prize at the end of each week, maybe a section under /browse where it has a list of all previous winners. Also, you could use the 'this is a competition entry' selector when you're creating the site. There could be a box on the front page which cycles random sites put into that weeks comp and then a link to a list of all the

Yea not to mention there are still alot of sites on the recently created that are worth 1'ing it. One reason I avoid watching recently created ytmnds is because it creates a trend of 1s and then I wont realize there is some sort of program on ytmnd.com that reads me 1'ing all these sites and registering me as a downvoter. also I do agree with one post, MurdarMachene does rule at random stuff.

Ok, How about a list of recently created sites is all their is. People sign in and view these. if the site sucks f*cking *ss and gets bombed then the files and the site will be deleted. The sites that people vote high, comment on, or view the most get to stay and move on to the next section. Like a viewed/Commented/Rating section. Then from there they can be voted out of these sections. When people are tired of them but could still be favorited for later. Also have a cycling section of sites above 4 and

The voting system is flawed, but it is too late to turn back on it because if you change the system, all the currently cast votes will be either deleted or weighed out of proportion with what the voter intended. At the moment, for your site to be on the front page due to vote alone (i.e. U&C or Top Rated) you need a score of at least 4.1. This means that 5 is the only vote that matters. A 4 vote is a good vote but it still damages a YTMND's chances of staying on the front page. So basically there are only

The hard leftists who go there and claim that it is a great place are sent to the places where all the other western tourists go, namely, the best parts. Cambodia's Khmer Rouge was said to have much promise when it started. It even received blessings from Noam Chomsky. The result? One of the world's grossest violators of human rights in the history of humanity. Other nations have tried similar experiments, using Marxist/Leninist rhetoric, with marginal results at best.
