I have never played WoW, and, outside of Habbo, because some of you drunk bastards goaded me in to it, never played any MMOG's. I understand the urge to downvote this based on general hatred of the WoW subgenre of sites and the users commited to them. I say, do not give in to this urge here. By turning a geeky raid call into an Epic Gregorian chant, the user celebrates the stupidity of the operation while also genuinely paying homage. Making something so geeky so epic calls attention to its utter geekiness.

I think we have different standards for different kinds of sites on ytmnd, Sitsu. I know I value craftsmanship over cheap humor any day (despite my total technological idiocy), but at the same time, I often head to YTMND strictly for stupid laughs. I think sites that require absurd amounts of time, effort, and discipline (like this one) DO deserve extra recognition over a simple screen capture with a crappy "lol" mspainted on it, but it's not something that makes me think YTMND rewards mediocrity.

Why not make it so that newly created accounts can vote, but the votes don't take effect for a few days? That way, new people can vote on sites without much hassle; they just have to wait to when they actually have any say instead of going back to all the sites they viewed and voting on them, and also, if a malicious account is made, they can be deleted before they can actually do any damage (if they're stupid enough to vote in that time period, which they quite possibly could be.)
