im not one starring you because i dont like the ytmnd. im a christian and believe everything that was said, but i dont agree with religious ytmnds in general so i 1 star all religioous ytmnds, athiests christians and other. i only give 5 stars to the anti scientology ytmnd sites because scientologists are f*cking crazy!

People don't seem to like YTMND's that lack the funny. But what about the unfunny truth about scientology? It sparked the famous scientology-YTMND war. And, it is in the, what, top 10 rated right now? It is one of the, well, I wouldn't say "founding" YTMND's, but it is a YTMND that has shaped the community, but it isn't funny.

All it would take is ONE wealthy person out of those thousands online to completely wipe off any sponsored sites he or she wishes to wipe. A member of Scientology could've wiped off Smoothmedia's site from the sponsored list, had the function been available. It's basically just selling out, for a rather pointless cause at that. Again, the point of sponsorship is to show your admiration for worthy sites. If you want a site off the list, you sponsor another site to overthrow the old one.

Erm, actually this makes very little sense or connection. The fact that Scientology was created by the kind of person who got what, a D or F in differential calculus and could do nothing with integral calculus at all just proves that the link between scientific ideas and something created by L. Ron Hubbard is about as weak as an infant with muscular dystrophy. I'm even more inclined to believe in creationism, I just think the story in the YTMND makes no sense.

Meh, you complain that the guy is trying to change people's beliefs, but plenty of other YTMNDs do the same thing - try to change my view on scientology, try to change my views on religion, try to change my views on quantum physics, or, in this case, try to change my view of weather this guy should be banned or not. Do I agree with him? Not necessarily. That doesn't make it wrong for him to try and persuade people to what he feels is a better course of action. People do it constantly, even on ytmnd.
