i like this line of comments, it's empirical proof that there are ytmnd'ers who actually know how to think and debate intellectually...anyway, all i want to say is that i think art is relative. everyone obviously has their own personal definition of 'art.' in my opinion, in the most general terms, art is some product intended to stimulate mind and senses, made with some sort of human creativity. the more a person relates to or feels stimulated by the 'artwork' the more quality it possesses for them.

Simply the fact that Korf says he hasn't yet seen this movie is a testament to his lameness. He was probably too busy reviewing art flicks that nobody with any amount of taste or sense would actually like so that he could debate the inferences of the director with 40-something hipsters at Starbucks and give himself a feeling of intellectual superiority. Mmm, no. Claiming a book as your own is plagiarism, a uniquely different issue which is a violation of academic discipline, not Federal law. You don't go to jail for plagiarism, simply discredited. However, a violation of intellectual property rights does not require proft. If that were so software licensing agreements would be unconscionable, because you aren't neccessarily profiting from an illegal copy of Photoshop. The bottom line is this is an actionable tort, and I'm behind the publisher.

How is it a violation of intellectual property rights? For that to be he would have to benefit monetarily from it. He would either have to pawn the book ideas off as his own and try to sell them or take the spoilers and charge people to see them. Since YTMND is non profit you can't argue that he is trying to make money off it. Where is the violation? You would have to prove he sought to make money off of this which you cannot. Their legal notices are all bluster and no substance.

Look, posting spoilers to a book which isn't even out yet is inappropriate, sorry. Those spoilers are a violation of the intellectual property rights of the author and the publisher, property rights YTMND claims to respect. You could always do the right thing and take down the spoilers, that's all they want really, and I agree with them. No one wants a protracted legal battle, especially when you know you're wrong.
