A quick fix I suppose. I'd be more worried about the virus still active in the system. I've personally never experienced this error, nor had the virus that causes lsass to crash. I'd prefer if my computer clock had the correct time as well. Fix the computer and the lsass problem from the source.

Yeah, Windows has to connect to the microsoft database to check if your serial key is registered and paid for. So if you prevent internet access and don't run the system process that tells your computer Windows is registered, it will give you that message. It's more of a logic flaw than a programming error.
