it amazes me that max is actually going to win at snakes on a plane...i have a theory that max is one of the most powerful people on the 'internets'

so he's using stolen media to stop stolen media? that doesn't even make sense. And if stopping unoriginal content was his aim, why not just shut down the site? No this just feels like ventrilo circlejerk + alcohol + people with power.

I am leaving ytmnd forever. It's been fun but I've had it with the sh*tty forced fads and noob frontpagers 5'ing old internet sh*t just because they're seeing it for the first time. The forced memes are actually worse than the forced fads. Ytmnd used to be one of the cooler places on the internet, really special and cutting edge and it still is to an extent but the good stuff is too few and far between. I try to wake people up by downvoting sh*tty old fads and unoriginal sh*t and I usually get a reply like 'NGE your sites are lowly rated so stfu' uh DUH cause I've been here more than 2 months, everybody gets hit with waves of downvoters eventually especially if you made your sites before new failsafe measures to stop mass downvoting. Caring about your rating is so noob, anyway. Some of you have been cool and you know who you are, but a lot of you have turned to the dark side and, in a vulgar display of power, are actively promoting sh*tty non-fads. I will not be satisfied until mods have life/death power over users. I do like the treasure/trash option though.

I like the idea of the trash/treasure buttons. keep the voting simple, weighing votes puts the power in the wrong hands.

^^^Sorry to shatter the fantasy, guys, but mods can't delete users. All we do right now is safe/NSFW/kill sites. I'd certainly welcome the option to be able to delete "problem users" but I understand why the powers-that-be may be reluctant to throw the doomsday button in front of all the mods. Maybe it could be given to a select few mods or something.

hello all my buds and budettes, some juicy news tidbits for you this afternoon. first up: the all new ytmnd search engine with advanced search! second off are some of the designs for new ytmnd shirts. More news on both these items inside. The YTMND search engine is hopefully a step in the right direction away from our independence from a gigantic list of every site ever which is impossible to navigate and kills the server. This is still a beta, and a few features haven't been added yet, most notably sorting. The new search is much more powerful but needs some fine tuning and probably won't replace the old search for a while, but in the mean time it should be pretty useful anyway. I know you are all happy to have shirts back, there are even more designs than those linked to, I'm working through fad shirts now (about a billion awful nedm designs) and should have a complete list within the next couple days. I'd like to start preorders this weekend.
