Too many people making sites about YTMND, sadly including this one. People aren't going to post this somewhere or show it to their friends. That is how we will become big again. Regress from this post-modern era where everything is self-referntial and just make sites that are funny...that anyone can get without prerequisite knowledge of 20 internet memes. they film in iceland because Magnus Scheving the creator and one of the main characters from the show (Sportacus) is from there. Stefan Karl (Robbie Rotten) is also from iceland. if you ever watched the show you'd notice they both have funny accents. it started out as a play over there, and it became a big franchise which did really well. so they made an english version and brought it here... and there's more than you ever wanted to know about LazyTown.

Do you even notice what happens when internet jokes explode? People want to be able to say they were a part of making that big. Remember that damn prairie dog? someone stole it from jj.am which hosts 4chan images who got it from some japanese tv show. a YTMNDer threw some music to it and called it a dramatic chipmunk then changed it to goatse. Some f*g copied the ytmnd and got to the top viewed. Then it gets posted on myspace. Then it explodes onto the internet then into those f*ggot t-shirts.

Because no celebrities have ever done child shows! Granted, Yo gabba gabba is kind of out there.. Hell, he stared in the first episode! Most other celebs I've read about doing it are reasonably unknown. So I don't know what to think. But plenty of people have done sesame street, and Jon Stewart did Jacks Big Music Show when he had a fine income with The Daily Show. Not everything has to be about money. God forbid celebrities let down their public image to do something for the children!

Usually I take all of the apocalyptic theories at face value because there is always a major one every 10 years. I never understood the fear of them. Most of the scenarios you showed would be on too grand a scale for us to comprehend. If you want to read something that will really blow your mind, read up on "The Big Crunch/Bounce/Rip" Or "Big Freeze/Heat Death". To sum it all up, even if we do manage to colonize different planets, eventually the known Universe will be unable to sustain life everywhere.
