Panda might as well be trying to give a detailed literary analysis on Beavis and Butthead, because this site is about on that same intellectual level in most cases. This site put a big smile on my face. Sometimes you just have to stop overanalyzing every little aspect of everything, else you find yourself becoming incredibly anal. I 5 this for the presentation and thought provoking content. Now, I am not a religious man, but these testimonies are from people who generally didn't care for religion (even criticized it with smugness, at least when I do it, I do it eloquently and from a purely intellectual perspective). It should be known that that website with the index has an obvious Christian bias. What happens to the Buddhists? You never hear from other religions about this phenomenon, perhaps there is something to this?

I would love to 5 this, because it's well-done, and even as a Christian, I adore Carl Sagan. But I can't. Sites like this only fan the flames of anger between Christians and Atheists, and they don't need more fanning (and I have said this to Whetstone and his ilk as well). As a side note, I agree Atheists are capable of seeing the beauty in nature without religion, but I don't think "beauty" was Carl Sagan's point - actually, it was more of an intellectual way of saying "be excellent to each other.

Of course, the obvious corollary of this is that it's of the utmost importance not to assure oneself of one's own perceived intellectual superiority and to question everything in life - to not simply believe in something without thinking about it.
