1. They can. There is a misconception here because YTMND lists the length of mp3 files incorrectly. Now, for shorter sound files I normally use wav's just because, but for a site of this length an mp3 should have no issues. Use audacity and zoom in like a mother fucker to get it exactly the length you want.<br />See:<br />chipschallenge.ytmnd.com<br /><br />2. Animated GIFs don't support partial transparencies. What you most likely saw was your editor doing anti-aliasing, which GIFs don't like on their transparencies, hence white border. Remember that gifs are palette based, so they should have all one color for the transparency. Yes and no. A quick conversion you can do for the wav you've got is make it mono, which will half the file size without much noticeable difference. You can also reduce the sample rate from 44100, which will reduce the size again (but can cause a difference in the way it sounds.) Converting to 22050 and making mono got your wav down to 1.26MB (I used audacity.) Sound files aren't compressible usually, without changing the format.<br /><br />2. You have to make the PNG frames in a separate editor, but there are several tools available. I thought about both of those options, but:<br /><br />1. I don't think mp3s can loop seamlessly.<br />2. Using animated GIFs in the foreground causes certain issues that I don't know how to solve. For instance, If I were to put the sun and the 4 guys with wands in the foreground, the animated pieces would have a thin, white border around them (something to do with the way transparencies in GIFs are processed?). It looks kinda sloppy, so I went with 1 GIF when I realized I could get it all in 1 GIF and under 8MB.<br /><br />Apparently, APNGs are the solution to problem #2 - how do you make these kinds of files?<br />[site universea:site]

I think you are over-simplifying the issue. The Republican party as a set of politicians has very little problem with race: be it the rise of Herman Cain as "the tea party candidate" (with Marco Rubio as the most buzzed about VP pick) or President W's cabinet containing the most minorities ever. It is the Republican electorate that is largely white compared to the Democratic electorate, that is the difference.<br /><br />Interestingly, the Blacks and Mexicans who often vote strongly for democrats often have great value synergy with Republican politics, as they are more religious. Case in point, while a bunch of blacks turned out to vote in California for Obama in 2008, the increase in the black vote is widely considered to have put prop 8 over the top, which banned gay marriage here.<br /><br />As far as waste/graft/pelf is concerned, I find both parties equally bad. Both parties are connected to a bunch of interests, be it Unions, Trial Lawyers, Mil-Ind complex, Big-Ag... etc. All of the interests pay to play, and when the roulette ball lands on red or blue, the corresponding winners are properly enriched. To the winner goes the spoils, this has been true since the early days of the republic.

It's Night. I'm living inside a giant apartment skyscraper. It's so big you could call it a whole city onto itself. I'm living with Cindy again and we have a pet with us.
