Way to play on my laziness to make yourself look good. Too bad laziness is the trump card, and you have put forth an inordinate amount of effort to appease idiots like myself. That may not be the worst insult you've ever received, but it's the easiest.<br /><br />I'm not a fan of white text on a black background due to the optical brain freeze that occurs when one switches to a black on white site, but I really only read my own writing in these text boxes so I guess that won't be too much of a problem. Well done with the purple, though.<br /><br />My only remaining gripe is that, despite putting him as an enemy, Umfold/Umfuld/Tile and his posts are still visible and he is himself still alive (perhaps most baffling, except merely to spite me with his persisting in life) and thus I cannot figure out what the point of such a feature is.

max/design crew - i personally think it is difficult to read the white text against the styled background. the content bg works for me, but you should consider adding a solid background color to the elements where there is white text, and set its transparency anywhere from 50-75%. For example, the "Previous new posts" section above this comment text area looks like it's just "floating" on the page, which no sense of stability. I'm sure you've already tried this approach somewhere in the last two years, but give it another shot. if it looks like it's making the bg-image disappear, try something unorthodox and lighten up the contrast of the bg-image. who knows, it might look decent.

well, the new comment pages are a bit confusing, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. it's hard to know which comments are replying to which comment, as soon as it gets down to 3rd and 4th levels. I'm guessing the "Link" options are still broken, but I like the idea. love the comment counter, although it's pretty sad because in 4 years I've made nearly 20,000. never expected to be ranked #5 overall. lol. it'll take some getting used to, but I think I'll come to love this new design. the white text on black is a little hard on the eyes though. oh, and thanks for adding the 0 to my name again. that's my favorite change.

Some things that I don't like: 1) Text on top of a textured image. It's pretty "noisy" and distracting. Plus what is the background image pattern even supposed to be? It looks like some cliche art for fancy clothing or a crown royal drink. It looks like it has nothing to do with ytmnd. 2) White text on a black background. After reading it for a while it fucks with your eyes. 3) No recent comments listed for your sites. I know the "feed" will let you know when someone comments, but then you have to check the site profile page to read it instead of just looking at a box that shows the last 20 or so comments from all of your sites on a single page.<br /><br />Also why is there so much pinkish red? Isn't ytmnd's color supposed to be orange?

I like the new layout. The only things I'd like to see changed are the ability to see recent comments on our own sites without having to sift through all that other stuff in the feed (which still seems to be broken, because when I uncheck everything but "Recent comments on your sites" it still doesn't change what's shown). Also, a lighter background color... or maybe if there was a way to just get the comment spaces lighter (keep the black background and it's design). White text on black is a little hard on the eyes. And finally, I'd like to see the exact timing that we submit sites, rather than just the date or "Two hours ago" (it's too Facebook'ish). Other than that, I like all the new features.<br /><br />I understand your frustration with people complaining. I'd be pissed too if I spent all this time on an update and tons of people had nothing but negative things to say without constructive criticism. Everyone got used to the previous "orange" design once the tiny problems had been fixed. So try to ignore all the crap and just focus on the detailed suggestions and make some tiny changes if possible. It could make a difference.

For the record, I thought the last update was awesome and I like everything but black on white text and Ed Hardy t-shirt style graphics on the new one. Oh, and I wish my own name were a different color than 'random user' like it used to be because I only care about my own comments. That's the narcissism in me talking. It's the only thing worth listening to. Also, this is all off the record, just like last time.

There is a way to get rid of that solid background behind your text in MS Paint. There's like those two button things on there with colorful shapes in them...click the bottom one and you can paste text anywhere without a solid white or black background.

It will be like the first preview image. A big white strip down the middle and a blue pattern on the sides/margin.<br /><br />That being said, I've moved over to using SASS, so making the site have an alternate color scheme would not be too much work, granted I'll probably never do it, but someone else could if they desired it.

The new layout looks good. It would be nice to have a button that changed the white background to a black one. I think it appeals to the eye more than a bright white one, especially if you keep your gamma up for gaming. Other than that, good job.

I love the new design, the only real problem I have with it is you cant really see post borders. It is a bit bright too, maybe if he toned down the whiteness just a bit. Otherwise its great
