That's an interesting idea. some flexible system that limits other users based on the community's reaction to their behavior. The problem in designing the technical side of a system like that is making it hard/impossible to "game". A self-moderating system like that would be great, if it weren't constantly abused.

The problem with that is that it continues to empower all of the little "good ole boys" clubs that dominate YTMND right now, such as the whole Father Mckenzie and Darth Wang thing in which they make awful sites on purpose and yell "f*ggot!!" at everyone, and all of their friends upvote it.

no matter what all you bandwagoners think. He asks you to five his site so you can see it. He wants people to see his sites because he spends time and effort making them. Not like most of you idiots who make 500000 sites and probably 5 of them are lol worthy. But then again this world is mostly comprised of people who can't think for themselves so I guess I can't blame you. Boy.. I'll never be able to make a site again now....

Comparing Syncan to Fourest is crazy, too. For starters Syncan didn't vote beg. He didn't use alts to upvote his sites. Five everyone's site and expect fives back. He never acted like a spoiled teenage girl and whiny teenage boy at the same time. Honestly, Fourest is everything that is wrong with YTMND. (I'm not talking about his sites, but his behaviors). While Fourest is trying to mend is ways, he can't think that everyone should believe he's changed because he says so.

Quite frankly he burned too many people. It's going to take him a long time do that, despite what he thinks. Right now Fourest is whining about people who downvote his sites and wanting to be a mod so he can crush people. Fourest would become the boy from "The Twilight Zone" who banishes people to the corn field because they think bad thoughts about him.

Maybe a system that shuts off comments and votes if the same comment is made a certain number of times, it would diminish the chic of creating your own "All hand and no hole makes Jack a dull boy" gimmick.

yay my clive owen site got mentioned :) and boy i knew someone was going to have a problem with it. It's okay because I wouldn't want every site to be nintendostalgia either. I've never complained about ads and I refuse to disable them on YTMND but please do something about the Napoleon Dynamite one. That movie's popularity peaked over 3 years ago. I'm tired of seeing an advertisement for a game based on a movie that was relevant 4 years ago. Make it go away.
