Sarah Louise Kerrigan was a psychic terran female. She began her career as a Confederate ghost and later became the second-in-command of the Sons of Korhal. Following Arcturus Mengsk's betrayal, she was captured and infested by the Zerg Swarm, becoming the self-proclaimed Queen of Blades (a.k.a. the Zerg Queen) and leader of the Swarm. At the close of the End War, she would ascend to become a xel'naga, a being of immense cosmic power. At the Dominion Ghost Academy, ghosts in training are told the Confederacy allowed Kerrigan to "defect" to the zerg. Non-control zerg strains referred to her as "the Kerrigan."

Princess Yona/Lena/Rina is the titular protagonist of the manga and anime series, Akatsuki no Yona. She is the Crown princess of Kouka Kingdom, the sole heiress of Emperor Il and Queen Kashi, as well as the reincarnation of King Hiryuu. Along the way, Yona undertook training in archery and swordsmanship with Hak. Throughout her journey, Yona started to realize that her father was not a king widely loved by his people due to his apparent cowardice and desire to maintain peace and avoid conflict at all costs, even if it would mean weakening Kouka Kingdom. She began to understand that Soo-Won had usurped the throne to fix King Il's mistakes and to turn Kouka into a powerful nation. However, she too decided to protect her father's people in his stead and to make amends in some way in her position as princess. Along the way, she changed from a sweet but naive girl, to a fearless and toughened warrior, while still maintaining grace, compassion and integrity.

Olivia Nuzzi, the political journalist who allegedly developed a "personal relationship" with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the campaign trail, has left New York magazine amid the fallout from their scandal. On Oct. 21, New York revealed in a statement that Nuzzi, 31, is no longer employed by the outlet, one month after she was placed on leave following allegations that she grew close to Kennedy while covering his independent presidential campaign. The statement said that New York and Nuzzi agreed to "part ways" despite a third-party review concluding that she did not show signs of bias in her reporting. "Last month, the magazine enlisted the law firm Davis Wright Tremaine to review Olivia Nuzzi’s work during the 2024 campaign," the magazine's statement reads. "They reached the same conclusion as the magazine’s initial internal review of her published work, finding no inaccuracies nor evidence of bias." The statement continued: "Nevertheless, the magazine and Nuzzi agreed that the best course forward is to part ways. Nuzzi is a uniquely talented writer and we have been proud to publish her work over her nearly eight years as our Washington Correspondent. We wish her the best."

The published book was adapted by Koichi Ohata into a five-part original video animation (OVA) series in 1994. The plot of the anime differs significantly from the manga. Both are notable for their extreme graphic violence. The OVA was produced by Bandai Visual and released in North America by U.S. Manga Corps. Genocyber was also released by Manga Entertainment's UK and Australian Divisions in The Cyberpunk Collection but only episodes 1-3 were released in these regions; this collection also included two other cyberpunk OVAs, Cyber City Oedo 808 and A.D. Police Files. The remaining two parts were not released into English until U.S. Manga Corp obtained the rights and had Central Park Media dub the remaining two episodes that were not dubbed by Manga UK.
