Armed Forced Radio Vietnam "Chieu hoi" ("Open Arms") ad and Station Identification, late 1960s
A recorded part of the massive US Army/ARVN "Chieu hoi" Psywar program, reminding soldiers to not kill or hurt surrendering NLF ("Viet Cong") or North Vietnamese Army soldiers if they came forth hands up with a "Chieu hoi" leaflet in his hand. Program lasted from 1967-73. "Chieu hoi" = "Open Arms", with an understanding of no POW camps for a surrendering soldier.
