Try it and see how many programs crash as soon as you hit "apply". Most can't handle years above 2038.
Now with better, fairly more dramatic end and less of a cliffhanger.

why 2100? I originally decided to have some fun and set my computer to that date.
About five different programs and a few services crashed instantly, and quite a few stopped working properly.
Besides, it's more "Ooooh, Y2K!"ish than January 19, 2038 would ever be.
Mabye later I'll add in a few various programs crashing (speficically, the same ones I had) just to help the effect.
