I was sitting in the plasma bank today fiddlin with Warioware Touched and figured out how to do this. Was gonna make a YTMND for it but was beated. This won't happen unless you try tho, so no problem.

If pictochat freezes, or you get green or blue-gray, you have "old" firmware and can use passme1 and gbamp. But if you get yellow or magenta, you need passme2 and supercard.

UPDATE: You don't need to know your firmware version anymore, as inexpensive NoPass cards work with all DS firmware versions.
