@stattic6: It's not really a "ripoff", considering it's a fairly common chord progression in modern rock music. There's a song by the band Travis that uses that same progression in a song of theirs, and I think The Scientist by Coldplay uses the same progression, too.

I think the similarity is a coincidence here, unlike Dani California which srsly sounds like it written as a response/tribute to Tom Petty's song. This makes for a bitchin' mashup, though.
