I for one welcome our "find out about cool products earlier because there isn't a need to keep secrets in pocket for a stupid convention" overlords.

Actually, it was NEVER going to be cancelled. But none of the big companies will come, and it'll just be a normal video game convention instead of something huge. It might as well be cancelled, since nothing will be unveiled there anymore.
