The last in a series of YTMNDs that were sitting on my desktop and should have been deleted but for some reason weren’t...

Its title describes the piece. A man, representing ignorance approaches enlightment. If you examine the piece you would notice subtle, but brilliant, pieces to this piece: The man's face is first hidden, then when he sees the light he accepts it warmly and with a smile on his face before he errupts in a brillant moment of enlightenment. Perhaps the face itself hints at subconcious undertones of race( black man with white hair), and the fact he is dressed in a military uniform (saying something about war?)
I love this. As Superlu's review shows, there are many interpretations. Personally I got a different message:
Mankind (proudly and with great joy) rushing forth with his own progress. However right before he achieves true enlightenment he is destroyed all the while smiling unknowingly as he meets his demise.
Stylized and refreshing. A good example of a YTMND worthy of being called art.
I think you're really missing the point here, fellas. The metaphor IS about enlightenment, but look at the picture. LOOK AT THE PICTURE. Now look at where it goes. It betrays the boundaries of the "Tile" YTMND format as he sees the light. What it's REALLY telling you is to look outside of your boxed in stereotypical YTMND and... and... well the bright light blocked whatever the great revelation was. I guess it's up to you.
i think u guys are thinking too hard. this ytmnd is just artsie fartsie. even tho it is cool. it looks like a locomotive conducters uniform. cause the man is a on a journey. and for the title. ignorance is enlightenment. to know anything you must understand that you know nothing. i got that from a star trek pc game.
I think that what makes the LOSTMND series so great is that there doesn't HAVE to be an underlying tone for them. That's why they're his throwaways. He had an idea that he just couldn't properly protray, and tossed it. I think the fact that these are all unfinished but quite brilliantly put together nonetheless makes this one of my favorite series of YTMNDs.
Wow, this is just great. As for what it "represents" or "means". Well that's up to each person individually. I'm not gonna see the same thing as the guy who posts after me. And it's highly possible that none of the ideas put forth agree with your original intention. (Which could have been just "lol, conductor + groove = awesome.") But none of that matters, because I love it anyway. I've gone through a lot of new music thanks to you zer0hue. Thanks for a good run.
