Jokes on you, Maynard doesn't sing that song. It's Billy Howerdel. He also sang People are People and another one I'm forgetting. Also, he wasn't a soldier as much as he just went to West Point. Besides, that was 20 years ago, I'm sure something could have happened to him which would have made him change his mind.
