the sirens are always tested in my city at 9:30 AM on the last Friday of the month. when I was little and they went off, I always thought that there were trucks like this (not ice cream trucks) driving around making that noise. when I'd be outside for recess at school and they went off, I would climb to the top of the big slide (coincidently nicknamed the "Tornado Slide") and look for trucks driving around with big horns on them. but I never saw any :(
