Chances are the image itself might have been from SA or 4chan, but the name "Happycat" and sh*t was a YTMND thing. It mostly became populer because of YTMND, if you wanna call it that. Aswell, I remember just last night, it was the smiling cat picture- Not our beloved happycat. Then it changed just today...
