he was weird as f*ck, yes, but there's really not that much evidence that he ever sexually assaulted children, despite what the media leads you to believe. In fact, his fixation on childhood indicates more-so that he had a peter pan complex and was making up for the childhood he missed out on (also an easy target for extortionists willing to use their children). Unfortunately, the media, which was condemning him for years, now glorifies him in death. Such hypocrasy. He may have been one of the greatest musicians of all time, but nevertheless, he was an admitted pedophile, and that tarnishes his entire life.
