Dear Max,
We hope this note finds you well. Your Webby Awards entry YTMND.com in the Viral category, has moved on to the next round of Webby judging. For this stage, in addition to the URL and entry information you've already provided, we now need a 2:00-3:00 minute, high-quality version of your entry, highlighting the segments or portions of your work that you feel best represent the overall piece.
Along with your original URL and entry information, this reel will compliment your entry throughout the next phases of the judging process. Should your entry eventually be honored, this clip may be:
* Used to showcase your achievement to Webby Voice Voters and the public at large at Webbyawards.com.
* Aired live at The Webby Film & Video Awards in New York City in June 2007.
* Used to promote your achievement in broadcast, traditional and other forms of media.
-------------
Your task, should you choose to complete it, is to create a 2-3 minute high res video that highlights why YTMND is so awesome. Due to me only being notified about this today, we have until Wednesday. Try to upload a copy somewhere and email me at max@ytmnd.com.
If you make the best video your work will possibly be broadcast at the webbys and you will also receive a free print of every shirt I ever sell in the future.
EDIT: This video obviously needs to be work safe, and the goal here is to highlight YTMND's good side, not a fad compilation that no one outside of the site would understand. The goal here is to make something that other people can "get".

I actually kind of like nutnics idea, if we made like the most over-the-top chronological fad comp, that WASN'T all stuff stolen from sa, fark, 4chan, etc, with like really dramatic music and applause, like the oscars... just imagine... KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN ::muffled applause:: DR L337 IS GETTING LAID ::thunderous cheers::
Just an idea: You could start a fad off with the basic version, and then show it go through ytmnd.com as it becomes editied more and more.... Something like "Bah", where it starts with audition normal video, then show where she goes through ytmnd... You could do multiple examples in the video, and then end with a ytmnd that has integrated all the example fads... just an idea..
BLACK SCREEN - The sound of William Forrester conversing with Jamal Wallace, out of nowhere exclaims 'You're the man now, dog!'-loops three times - BURST OF YTMND FRONTPAGE APPEARS - The sound of several fads simultaneously playing at once over Rue the Whirl - QUICK FADE TO PICTURE OF MAX AS A CHILD - Sound of fads stop, fanfare appears in foreground dressed scantily clad--reads Max Goldberg biography from Encyclopedia Dramatica then reads verbatim wiki article on YTMND over music - FADE TO BLACK

Wait....YTMND has a good side? I thought it was all 13 year old assbags and 40 year old losers that spend all their time editing .gifs to make them "faddy". If you make a YTMND video, talk about stealing other peoples stuff just like ebaum and making it their own. YTMND sucks, it will always suck. It was only good when it started.
Well, I'm not a video artist at all, but I can draw. I think someone should do like, one of those old documentaries with the deep voiced narrator and talk about things like, our style of humor, the community YTMND has created with thousands of users, ways we've defended the internets, and how we are different than your run of the mill BBS board or forum community because we contribute creativity. Well. Most of us do anyway. IF ANYONE NEEDS ART FOR THEIR PRESENTATION PLEASE PM ME!!
