I actually heard somewhere, that by selling just the console sony isn't making a profit due to how much it costs to make. The profit comes from the games. What the exec was saying, was that the competitors were trying to make a proft from just the console because it didn't cost them as much to make the original hardware. Although my sources are sketchy, and i'm still going to buy a Wii instead.

Dougman, you are an idiot. You are the posterchild for the asswipes that give PC users a bad name. You have no idea what you are talking about. The Mini and the Macbook use standard PCMCIA compliant hardware, and the stuff found in the desktop comps are able to be taken out, replaced, and transferred between macs of the same caliber. Hell, The sh*t I have in the Mac I'm using right now could make a PC...Minus the RAM...I need that RAM for my stuff >_>

3200+ and a 6800GS is a "Good Gaming rig" I call it low end. Also if you actually read the Help inside FSX, it tells you that the hardware isnt out yet to run FSX maxed out. it says you be able to run it max out in 2 to 3 years. Also you think FS9 run Maxed out back when it came out 3 years ago? On the hardware that was out like 5900s? no, My Copy of FS9 didnt run smooth unitl i got my 6800GT. and its been this way ever since the frist flight simulator came out. Alot less secrutiy flaws, is another term for "No one gave have a sh*t enough to LOOK for a security flaw" since the mac really ISN'T worth hacking. Its alot less customizable too, sure you can load up windows xp and its all good right? Wrong, you still payed more for lower specs, I'd rather spend that extra money towards better CUSTOMIZABLE hardware, instead of something you have to throw out when your done with it.

Besides, gaming revolutions come via third party developers. Nintendo has never, ever showed support for third party developers. They want their systems to be all about their Marios, Peaches, Bowsers, DKs, etc. While Sony's systems aren't associated with anything due to the vast library of games it has. Want to pay $600 for three year old hardware? Be my guest. I would rather pay $600 for next year's hardware that should cost me $1,200.

Man, not even a single overpowered saiyan can afford the "rich man"'s system.
