This sounds like JRPG boss music. Which kind of made me giggle about the Megaflare an Rogue Black Hole since that sounds like some stupid hit your whole party spell you see in those games. Anyway if I had to pick one I would say End of Days cause the Four Horsemen are pretty freaking cool. Though I remember in an episode of Hercules he beats them. Which didn't make sense cause greek legends didn't have anything to do with the Bible.

you're obviously aware that the start is choppy, but I like what you did at the end, and that you didn't over-ornamentalize the front end- you just tried to squeeze out enough to make it functional to set up the joke. good deal, and better than your other dtmb (which is still funny and well-done) because this one kind of has a real satirical point.

To be honest, I didn't think this site was very inspiring. You took the guy watching tv fad, put in a picture of Ted Danson, and added NES music. And as "How to make an average YTMND" has shown us, unrelated NES music is gratuitous yet the path to a completely average YTMND.

Maybe people agree, Carib. I mean, using every synonym and descriptive phrasing possible to make sure that we're not all using the same words to speak about the same phenomenon seems a bit much just to avoid some cool kid thinking you're just copying someone else. I didn't make up the phrase headpasting, but I use it to describe the same phenomenon that I find lame and tired. It doesn't make me cool, it's just useful to comment on how I feel about the site, seeing as this is a comments section.

Second, the idea was just to make fun at how easy it is to make a popular site with minimum creativity. I prefer original content too, but I wanted to try one of these for once. I figured it wouldn't be a big deal. I didn't expect something like this to get incredibly high ratings, I just wanted to show people these pictures. I think people take ytmnd too seriously sometimes. One well presented slideshow isn't a sin. But you make it seem as if I have committed a crime. If I had enough room on my description I would cite all my sources but I can't so, I should just delete the site then?

Like I've said before, "Stolen" in the context of a YTMND most often means a stolen idea or joke, and sites like this are demonstrative of that concept. My now deleted site's humor was focused on misinterpreted Bon Jovi lyrics, that misinterpretation stemming from me. This site's humor stems almost entirely from its image, which you didn't make and a Google search even three years ago probably would have turned up without fail. I think Fooliano explains it most succinctly below me.

When I joined back in june, one of the things I really wanted to do was a Dean site. At first I thought collaborative filtering would protect me from viewing sites I don't like, but all it's done is make me curious. For example, I didn't bother looking at that site called "^_^" until collaborative filtering predicted I would hate it. I think this is going to make YTMND a lot more fun. Good work Max!
