I'm fairly certain there's a registry edit that lets you set any html file as your 404 or DNS error page. If I can figure it out, I'll put it here.

As I now realize, you can only change the DNS error page, since 404 errors are server-side. The registry entry for the internet explorer DNS error page is "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/software/microsoft/internet explorer/main" entry "local page". If you save the gif image, and then stick it in an html file and save it, you can change the value here to that HTML file (just make sure it's in a directoty that you can enter in regedit from memory).

A program error isn't a system crash. The rest of the system remains unaffected unless the program was accessing your core system files. A system crash usually entails something along the lines of the blue screen of death as you'd find on windows, but on Mac OS X it manifests as a grey window dominated by the power symbol with a message informing you that you need to restart your computer, in multiple languages, known as a kernel panic.

None of those error messages are crashes in any way, shape, or form. A true crash is when it causes such a disruption in data flow that you require a restart. Exit the application causing the error, or cancel the operation, and the system will return to full stability. We haven't shut off this computer I'm on in a year and a half, it's so stable. Compare that to the thirteen-billion cascading error messages my once-state-of-the-art PC gives me every time on startup, before instant shutdown occurs.

@ klasky, i dunno how much you know about Eva, but 'static' quite well describes this character's face at anytime in the series. he is not one to emote, and it's questionable whether he has any feelings at all. right now, he's watching his own kingdom fall, and his own people massacred, and this is pretty much how he would react. zer0 may not like this site, but to me it looks like something ripped straight from the show (minor technical errors aside). p.s. 1'd for anime.
