I read it because you replied to my comment and it showed up in my profile. This place probably is run by alts, way too many right now. I guess I would no longer be surprised to find out that newer users (09ers, 10ers, 11ers) are actually long-standing 06ers, 07ers, and even some 08ers. I mean, even you are a fairly new user, who has made decent sites since day one, something that is a bit out of the ordinary for someone without experience of YTMNDing. Or maybe you've been making nice edits since before you had a place to display them. It's hard to know anymore. <br /><br />There has apparently been a group of users out to get me (and very likely, a few others) for years, using multiple alts that they pass around to each other. I've always known that one account in particular has been used by more than one person, but have always attributed it to its creator and ring leader because accusing someone else would not be right. I have to ask myself "What the fuck did I do to make so many people mad? Make bad sites?" For anyone reading this, because I know there are people who follow me around 24/7, I'm sorry I tainted your enjoyment of a website by being present. <br /><br />I'm not saying that you, Lastimero, are part of that group in some way or some other user posting sites with a different account out of the fear of knowing that the sites would be downvoted on his real account for past douchebaggery, but I wouldn't be surprised to find out that you are, since it has been happening a lot lately. To be fare, if you've followed his career from the beginning you can tell he's only a "bull" because he's mimicking the big TV stations reporters. one of the main problems is the "fad mentality," that is, perpetuating easily identifiable trends based on a small amount of assets and one reference. i have made very few "fad" sites, but when i did, i made it a point to [i]NOT[/i] include the majority of expected fad assets, and to add something to the experience that reached beyond the fad expectation, even if the end result was totally inane. what you got was at least something different, and from that any number of "fad" tangents could have branched off (which i guess would have defeated my intent) and/or new ideas could have been realized, in the same/similar context, from what i created. but of course that never happened (not that i hail my own work as meme-generating genius) and what i got in return was "needs more tiny onions" or "i wanted to hear turkey" or "-1 for no pillowy mounds." see what i'm getting at?<br /><br />given whatever context, an audience will expect what they will expect. that doesn't mean the people who create the context need to limit themselves to what they believe the audience will expect. does that make sense? i'm not even asking much at all. i'm suggesting that ytmnd users [i]attempt[/i] to think outside the ytmnd expectation and create content at risk of having it be not readily understood - or worse - downvoted based on practically nothing.

here's a sad story. i was talking my my friend about ytmnd. by the way, this person is the guy who showed me ytmnd for the first time. anyway, i was telling him about how dead it is and how there is now a very small user base. he replied "that's awesome!" to which i was perplexed. i asked him why he thought that was so great, and he explained "well, if there's such a small circle of people making content, then there should be a lot less dumb fad crap and much more fine tuned, quality content. i mean, doesn't a small circle of users make for some sick collaborations? i'm excited to see where that goes. besides, max probably likes it better that way." i told him he was mistaken, he should not be excited for ytmnd's future and yes, max probably does like it better that way.<br /><br />this is a great site and all, but why are we continuing to make star trek shit and sites about ytmnd?

Why would you lower your rating based on the weather?

Max, I thought you were going to keep the Minecraft server up, but from what you said I will lose the opportunity to meet people there, people who even use this website. For example, yesterday I was very excited when I found out that a YTMND user was in the world. I wanted to talk to him and play with him a little bit. I'm new at Minecraft so everything about it looks new and beautiful, especially the fact that I can interact with real people. Of course, there's always the real world but it's my choice if I want to go and play in a virtual world. Besides, I'm most probably the only Italian active user here and I bet most of you live in the States, in any case far from that shithole that is Italy, and I wanted to see what is like to play with one of you, without having my words dismissed in an indistinguishable cloud of forced unfunny jokes and pitiful self promotion. I think it's acceptable here to have this behaviour, we can all be characters here. But in Minecraft, how much does a fake and shady "personality" last? In the 3D world you are more human than in a webpage.<br />The impending closure of that Minecraft server will make me reflect about the importance of the real world not based on a computer.
