You are one of the most creative ytmnd user's on this website, I don't know why you and the other top 20 or so user's try to petition Max to fix this website, fix it by deleting down voters and preventing them from ever returning because it is people like them that have ruined this entire website. Moonman is an abomination that was once a funny fad but now is pure garbage. People like Santa Bot AI, Farkle, WannabeGayNigger, and all of the alternate art accounts should be banned. I believe a simple solution could could be put in place such as one account per email address and IP address. Also fix the upload system where you can only upload so much depending on the ratings of your ytmnd's, so if you keep uploading crap you get a temporary ban, following a permanent ban, perhaps a 3 strikes system, or maybe a ban do moderators discretion. We also need to fix the abuse of the down voting system, it has driven away many ytmnd users and starts down voting wars if someone doesn't like someone or doesn't like their site, which in return creates a hostile environment that is poisoning the core of this site. Doing all of these things would hopefully bring back talent that left ytmnd because of the lack of decay due to poor moderation of this website, and hopefully give it a chance to grow again.

Heh, well while I've never challenged your pre-2011 sites' popularity (especially that great DeNiro site), the popularity isn't quite my point.<br /><br />See, my problem is just with the equation of site quality = default respect for user. This is the trait that has made you as an individual unpopular amongst many users and this is what has stirred up controversy.<br /><br />And I didn't vote on this site at all. I can't do anything on any alts. Max put them in the deletion queue...I'm pretty sure I already mentioned that. As far as I know the only person who voted twice was DaveTheRave with his HighDefinition account and I had not at all requested that, in fact I would have preferred greatly he had not done so as to not give off an appearance of artificial voting. <br /><br />Anyways, you going to answer the actual question or not? Well, it's been all day and he hasn't posted a comment with his 1, so I'll go ahead and just leave the comment for him anyways.<br /><br />Umfuld, I'd like to mention how you criticized me for not being able to make a site that gets a high rating. Well, using accounts to display blatant troll behavior causing max to add my alts to the deletion queue ensuring I could not use them to upvote anything at all and it seems helped in getting him active (although I think was mostly farkle that did that) like intended. Then I created this site, which has been on up and coming all day and has maintained a good rating without me using a single alt or telling anyone to "vote five".<br /><br />But more importantly, I'd like to mention how at the beginning of 2011, if you remember, I came online and sent you among others messages stating my desire to set aside the whole "troll wars" thing for the better of YTMND.<br /><br />You ignored it. <br /><br />So now I'll propose the message again: maybe ease off a bit bud, calm down and try to enjoy YTMND again? People wouldn't cheat on you if you weren't so uptight all the time. If you want to stop all this nonsense, I'll stop all this nonsense as well.

Everyone should stop worrying about YTMND's current state and just make some quality sites. I have no idea how you could possibly discern from my post that deleting sites and users was a good idea, as the point of my first post expressed exactly the opposite view. We are very different people, me and you max. You are a jew, I am superior being, you like getting drunk and counting silver shekels, and I like to make websites better with awesome Moon man materials. But, at the end of the day, we are similar in a very important way. We both share an intense affection for this website. We both share an interest in keeping this website's quality high, and we can both become rather upset when we glance upon the lower-quality parts of it. In this emotional state, we both can make some foolish decisions. These decisions have far reaching consequences for those around us. Like it or not, bad quality and good quality exist, and must forever exist, in a yin and yang like state on this website. There is nothing we can do to change it. <br /><br />I'm not going to go in depth on why Moon man and his Moon Crew are not bad entities, and how they are not hurting this website. I already discussed that in a private message with you. The Moon Crew YTMND users are simply another part of YTMND, just as you are max. You created YTMND, but you can not control every facet of it, and even if you could, you should not. Your attempts to totally control YTMND and its types of content will ultimately harm YTMND. If YTMND is hurt because of reckless actions -- such as deleting other parts of YTMND -- based on inaccurate assumptions, then you will suffer just as much as we will, because we are both parts of this website.

5. Make it easier for these new accounts to SHARE YTMNDS WITH THE REST OF THE INTERNET. Post to Twitter, Facebook, reddit, whatever. Create something that monitors the value these users add to your site: how much traffic they're pulling in with their recommendations, how much hustle they put into promoting OTHER PEOPLE'S work. Let that good work be part of the "fast-track" algorithm to voting privileges.<br /><br />I honestly don't think this can be all self-regulated; I think YTMND needs to get some good moderators. max, you obviously don't have the time to make YTMND your top development priority, so I think the best move here is to set up some new moderators that can be trusted to be fair and impartial.<br /><br />This is not about narrowing the range of "acceptable sites" or saying that faggy art films are better than no-effort sites. I love all kinds of sites: noise sites, art sites, faggy short films, DEWs, fads, fad comps, classic sites - the style doesn't matter. What matters is intent. It's obvious when someone's intent is just to piss off another user, troll the community, or just generally act like a tit. I humbly submit that it wouldn't be too hard get a few guys to volunteer to delete some accounts for you.<br /><br />Trolls and thoughtful discussion below, please.

Max, if you really believe in the dream you would give this site some sort of moderation. Umfuld's said it a million times and he's right. There are too many cancerous parasites on this site and its gone from thriving, to being comatose and on life support.Users like farkle, santabotai, pilleater, joshcube, johnnylurg and their combined 10.000 alt accounts are what destroyed this place. No one wants to put any effort into creating any content when there are about 10 circle jerking faggots downvoting anything of value and upvoting moonman, santabot, mr.krabs, and party mouse sites. No one wants to view anything because anything of vaule is quickly banished into oblivion and everything on up and coming is vote hacked trash.<br /><br />I understand why you've hesitated so long on moderation but if you really want to resurrect this site then it is the only way. Complete freedom of expression is one of the things that made this place great a long time ago but in the end it appears to be the same thing that's killed it. You have to get some mods and there are still a few quality users here who I'm sure would do it. You could assign mod tiers and promote people when they moderate responsibly and revoke their mod status if they start banning user accounts based personal grudges. You could make it so accounts can't be permanently deleted unless the mods vote on it. Hell you could even be lazy and just have a group of users of your choice get together in chat at a designated time and vote out cancerous user accounts and send the results of the vote to you if you are too lazy to fuck around with the code for a mod system.<br /><br />So do you really care at all about this place max? It made you a pseudo celebrity once. Now it's good for buying you a bottle of grey goose every other week. So will you do something to fix it? They learned their lesson when some of their accounts were deleted and they never did it again. You had your core group of alts in 2008 that were later deleted after you were comment-banned. I don't know how much abuse you did with them, but Cumion and Scumion must have been locked and deleted for a reason. You came back and made a whole new army, doing the same thing -- using each and every one of them to vote. Then you just made it obvious by logging into every account to downvote my sites and anyone who openly called you out while shouting to max "I don't care anymore, I'm going to alt-bomb anyone who mentions me in a comment!" So yeah, there's a reason I have fun criticizing you for that shit. You were always playing the imaginary role of YTMND Police, altering your vote so the site receives the overall vote you think it deserves, calling people out for using alts, etc. Yet you turn around and do the same fucking thing. No, you didn't downvote just the troll sites about you. You went through old sites of mine, jimmm's, and several other people and downvoted them, even though they were never going to see the front page ever again anyway. My top site had over 520 votes back in December (or whenever that was) and now it's at 488. The 32+ votes that have since been deleted came from you and gr33nscr33n. Any new site I posted at the time (whether it happened to reference you or not) got hammered. I also laughed when you claimed that you deleted every vote from your alts and put them into deletion. That might have been true for your Stop-Trolling bullshit, but not the case for all of your old ones. You expect me to believe that you put Nothingman into the queue? Come on, the account on which you received max's only 5 in 2009 (or whatever that was)? I bet you had that printed out and taped on your fridge for your 0 visitors to see. Max deleted a bunch of sites before launching 2.1. I typed in a bunch of random domains until the green "available" showed up and I just jumped on them right away. There's one other that I found but haven't thought of a good site to make for it yet.
