I'm quite sick of seeing all artistic YTMNDs compared to those of ROY4L. ROY4L's good and has been around a long time, but there have been people making those kinds of YTMNDs for quite a while, too.

Again, posting up here for informational purposes. Kismet means fate. I've looked all over the place for the pattern of stars you see there behind every constellation. I am still not sure what it is. It appears almost as though ROY4L took a picture of a galaxy and redsmudged out the galaxy part. The three bright stars near the bottom are shaped like the triangulum constellation, but don't take my word for it.

I find it interesting that this time, the mp3 has an album title: thethoughtsthatbreakus (a few others had album titles too, but they were usually unrevealing, such as "theme1" or simply the ytmnd title). I only notice because I have a ROY4L playlist, and I'm trying to put the pics and sounds together into avi files now.

yeah. I definitely enjoy the little mini-contests in #?! that are just basically a bunch of people making loosely connected sites at the same time. also it'd be cool if ROY4L's 20 hour work didn't get taken off up and coming by one guy and his 6 accounts, just as one of many examples

Sorry, but not only do I find the picture rather bland, none of the architecture or lighting is very impressive by today's standards, but I also feel that this doesn't conform to the ytmnd template very well, when there are so little funny ytmnds coming in, I hate to see the site stray from its roots so much with these "artistic" pages. If you can pull of a mind trip like ROY4L, I guess that has merit in itself, but this is noting too special to me. Good effort though.

Seems like the list of grievances against Roy4l's sites range in the "I wanted something funny, but got this", "I don't want to have to think about my entertainment so I'll call it pretenious", and "I'm too lazy to try and find a theme so it's a 'WTF' site" areas. Is what Roy4l does high art? Hell if I knew- but is it meaningless? To say that is a cop-out. Just admit you didn't understand (I don't) and move on.
