nobody wants to play your faggot video game, most of us grew up and actually got jobs.

YTMND will continue for thousands of years with unfunny posers like yourself constantly coming out of the wood work trying to replicate the levels of creativity and comedy achieved by YTMND legends such as myself. I just come back here every once in a while to see if anyone will ever achieve what i once did, its my greatest fear, but alas, with each visit it becomes clear that you are all a bunch of untalented nobodies, that will never even come close to the levels of status and respect my incredible body of work demands.

I make more cash in a week than you ever will in your entire peasant life, and thats because i have a genius mind. If you think you can EVER compare to me, you are just wasting your time.

Not a front page fag, you are more like that guy who wants to keep their high school band together but no one's interested because its been ten years and his band was never good in the first place but he's delusional enough to think that he can make it on his own, but he can't get any gigs so he takes a job playing oldies in a nursing home and everyone is either half asleep or just so desperate for a modicum of entertainment that they are willing to listen. They don't pay him either, so he has to work a daytime job for minimum wage as a bagger in a grocery store, and on the side he gives away his solo "album" to grow his fanbase, but, like the fate of millions of AOL CDs, its quickly forgotten about or thrown in the trash.

I have a great deal of respect for the fact that you were able to turn your YTMND creation talent into a paying gig as a Radio DJ. I get the impression that the number of people who have done this sort of thing here can be counted on one hand, assuming that there is someone else besides you. Though I think Roy4l might have done something similar. For example, I hear that he does the background music for Maddox youtube videos.

I also mostly agree with you about the sorts of things that make it to Up and Coming these days. Though I do want to point out that there is at least one noteworthy exception I can think of within the past 3 months. I apologize for bragging, but I released a site in late November which I feel can stand toe to toe against many of the classics which made YTMND famous. Though probably not among the VERY best of them, though. In fact, when it was released on Thanksgiving, it literally had 30 people vote 5 on it in a row. After many more votes, it still maintains a rating of 4.61. This is not to say that high ratings are everything.

I will let you judge for yourself:
[site colorit2x1:site]

Also, I do really appreciate attacks on average american ignorance. I join on that bandwagon on a regular basis. What I blame for that would go too far off in a tangent for now. I may have come across to you like a typical freerepublic.com type person because I went straight after marxism. I repeat that should not have been my approach.

"THE EVERY SINGLE DAY EVILS OF GLOBAL DOMINATING, RESOURCE EXHAUSTING, CHILD MURDERING CAPITALISM ARE NOT PARALLEL TO A LIST OF LITERALLY THE WORST OFFENSES BY PSYCHOTIC ZEALOTS WHO HAPPENED TO INCORRECTLY, OUT OF CONTEXT, AND SELF-JUSTIFYINGLY CITE MARXIST LITERATURE AS INFLUENCES"

I also appreciate most of the concerns brought up here. All I will add is that there are indeed countries that do have capitalism AND also needlessly destroy resources. I am familiar with this sort of objection. But I do want to say that I think there are also some countries which have varying degrees of capitalism present, but to my limited knowledge, are not known for being exploitative or wasteful of resources. For example, I am unaware that Denmark or Switzerland are known for exploiting people or invading countries for oil.

My point is that I am skeptical that capitalism will always lead to bad things every time. But maybe I am working with a different definition of capitalism than you.

http://maddox.xmission.com/keyboard4.jpg

I will only address things that are worth addressing:
Do I think that EVERY critique of capitalism is always from a Marxist pespective? No. But I would say for every 10 critiques I have seen, only like 2 or 3 were from a non-marxist perspective. That number seems low, admittedly. But of the other 70% to 80%, I would say that it was either straight Marxism or it is Fabian Socialism. Meaning that it has the state slowly replace the market functions over time. To me, that is like a very gradual version of communism, because the goal is the same as outright communism, it just takes a far slower route.

The reason I started out critiquing communism was to simply point out that the alternatives to capitalism (which I need a definition from your faction for) can be worse. An old expression is "The cure can be worse than the disease." I do not mean to say that EVERY possible alternative will be worse, just that some in the past became worse.

I probably could have handled myself better by asking around what solutions do people here think might be reasonable alternatives before anything else. I think this is important because we need to avoid the mistakes of the past for a better solution.

Another percentage of anti-capitalist perspectives I have seen include 3rd way, mixed market type solutions, kind of like band aids. In my mind, this might include how things are done in Scandanavian countries. I would never say that life in such places would be hellish, quite the opposite. But I do want to say that these countries still have a certain amount of capitalism present. Yet none of the scandanavian countries are known for starting war or having cruel police or prisons, quite the opposite.

Finally, the last kind of anti-capitalist perspective I am familiar with would be the anarcho varieties, famously including Anarcho-Syndicalism and similar ideas.

Thanks, Umfuld, I actually pretty much mostly agree with Chomsky when it comes to foreign policy. Though I think he can be soft on non westerners and anti-capitalist factions sometimes.

"The 2014 Hong Kong protests are being funded by USAID"

China is still responsible. If Joe gives Tom money to buy groceries, but Tom uses it to instead buy a gun to murder someone, Tom is still responsible for the murder.

"fresh off their overthrow of Ukraine's democratic government which has led to civil war where thousands have died."

I think you mean Putin. His army invaded the Ukraine, especially in Crimea. Yes, the USA did have a hand in the Ukraine, but Putin actually invaded. But of course, the crimes of Russia always gets downplayed.

Also, I do not excuse the crimes of Hitler or any of his allies or benefactors. Nor do I sympathize for any of his ideas, except maybe anti-communism (but I do condemn his treatment of communists). But as terrible as he and his regime was, he was not actually the most murderous dictator of all time. Everyone says Mao and Stalin killed more.

"Cuba! That's nice you sent 100s of the best trained doctors in the world to help the fight against Ebola in Africa - we sent 1000s of soldiers. Because: Capitalism"

It is good that they sent some doctors to help, but I thought we were talking about suppression of dissent.

"Your input in this conversation is EXACTLY why people who get shitty BFA degrees from safety schools for "web design" should keep their fucking mouths shut and only barf their retarded opinions"

No, I am not going to be bossed around by elitist pricks. Society has spent enough time listening to the elites, mostly to become their servants. People like you want to rule others and I am going to continue to stick out my middle finger.
