Takster, Alot of the Hackers did this under YTMND's name. It can be implied (especially with Ebaum's high-paid lawyers), that since Max owns YTMND, he allowed this to occur, and didn't take steps to sanction those responsible. I'm not a lawyer, but there is risk when you allow members of your site hack in your name. It's sort of like if someone went to the guy's house and bombed it in YTMND's name. All of a sudden Homeland Security would be all over Max. Same sort of thing with Hacking. All there needs to be is implied association. That alone would bring enough court costs to shut down YTMND for good.

All this could have been settled if somebody had just asked who had submitted the photo to them, and then done what needed to be done to contact that person and have the image removed.

The FBI processes all viable threats, cetta, no matter how serious. Although the threat to the Baumans is trivial at best (knowing you flower-picking hippies), the fact is that there is a viable threat. The FBI will treat the case seriously, but I doubt that any action will be taken. Seeing as how Max is so insulated from the "cyber terrorists," Max himself faces little to no FBI pressure. Max may get an FBI file opened on him and may be questioned once or twice, but I doubt things would continue from there.

Okay, how about this then. For the first 6 minths, a member has his voting habits monitored. If there is an excess of 5 or 1 votes in a row, or it looks like it's all 1s or 5s, that person loses voting priveledges. In other words, only people with actual votes get their votes in. You make it sound like I'm anti technology. I'm against solving a problem that didn't f*cking exist. Do we really need more Family Guy clips and screamer sites and people posting videos they got on ebaums? Between flash, cheaper video cameras (including mad tech available at schools now,) web cams, easily pirated video software, etc, it's not like there was some critical absence of video capability. It's possible that the actionscript the ads are using is messing with the preloader. I've run into this sort of problem before when having multiple flash files on one page. Since stop(); and most of the other Timeline Control functions are global... Say there's a flash ad at the top within the site description bar. The ad and the flash preloader will both turn on as the site loads, but the ad executes stop();. The flash preloader gets this and stops or just skips what is was doing all together... I don't know. I found a way around this before. Or this isn't even what is happening. I'll look into this for the hell of it.

Since most of the bugs have been worked out of the website... agian.. and there is no longer freezing error all too common like the older site. I have to say I am impressed but... don't think your off that easy... I still do not like the I WORK AT HOME DEPOT look I mean come on go with a silvery luster or a light blue glowey look.
