The Sounds Of Saturn
Saturn is a source of intense radio emissions, which have been monitored by the Cassini spacecraft. The radio waves are closely related to the auroras near the poles of the planet. These auroras are similar to Earth's northern and southern lights.

+5 for creepiness. -1 for lack of funniness and source citation.

Odd how similar this is to Ligeti's "Atmospheres" and "Lux Aeterna" as used in 2001 (Which was supposed to take place near Saturn but was changed to Jupiter in the movie for technical reasons)

I saw when at his Word the formless Mass, This worlds material mould, came to a heap: [710] Confusion heard his voice, and wilde uproar

I don’t buy this as being real. It sounds like someone is using reverb delay on a couple of sine/triangle waves. Tell you what, give me a link to the actual NASA page and you sir have a fav(P.S. I hope it is real.)

Is Nasa.gov working for anyone? Google's pretty much telling me it's real otherwise.

it's real. theres other clips of some other planets too i think - this kind of thing isnt really a new idea but only recently is being published online by nasa. they basically just record the radio frequencies from a source and play it, like ud do when tuning the radio in your car, cept they do it from space and its not sound waves (of course). here's a link: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/cassini/multimedia/pia07966.html
