First, they probably just take a sound recorder and stick it near their tv when playing the movie. Second half life 2 preceeded the second movie...im not sure if the tripods were IN the first as ive never seen it...but yah when watching it I was thinking

Just so you all know, the Strider in the game sounds very different from this. This is just with a sound pack that makes the striders similar to their tripod counterparts.

Ahem, 1898 :). Btw the new War of the Worlds is a bad adaption of the ye ole classic. I mean: Why the hell should every novel and franchize remake be based in the US and f*cking A? That bugs me like hell.
