I know where this ytmnd was, and I knew where it originated, and where it is going because of where it has gone, and where it is going to go. By calculating the average rating per day, we get "deviation" from this ytmnds previous incarnation of where it has gone, to where it will go. Repeat same thing said 50 different ways 50 times.
I'm voting 5 because I'm not voting 2 or 3. Since my vote knows where it isn't (or wasn't; 2 or 3), it also knows that it is not at 1 (2 subtracted from 3, since 3 is greater) so therefore it goes to where it wasn't (or isn't) as defined by its deviation. It is now where it wasn't when it was not at either 2 or 3 or 1. The vote knows where it wasn't at all times, and so its guidance system tells it to go now where it wasn't. Since it was also not at -2, then it also knows it wasn't at 5 (3 minus -2). Since it wasn't at 5, it applied the deviation to get it there. Therefore 5.
The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.
In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was.
