If you're going to steal, at least steal from the best like this site. Points for Gwar, even if it was from their worst album. Worst album until War Party anyway. With Dev producting the next one I have hope, though.

I don't care if you credited or not, it's still stealing. I didn't say it was BAD. There's a right way and the wrong way to swipe stuff on here, you did it the right way. God damn, don't be so f*cking defensive.

This isn't goddamn brain surgery. If you can find something that used that music or graphic on my site you commented on, I'll probably delete mine because it would be news to me. There's a difference between taking someone's copyrighted material - a graphic or music or whatever - and stealing something you found on another YTMND. I already told you it doesn't even matter since you credited it, but it's still stealing. Don't get your panties rumpled.

You're trying to compare me finding something on Google or ripping my own music and creating a site, and just taking something from another YTMND site and doing a slight reworking/different take on it. I'm not even saying either one is inherently bad (although both can be), but it's apples and oranges.

Guess it depends on what you consider swiping stuff. I have zero problem saying I stole something if I did it. As far as sites here...whether it's a tribute, a reworking, a remix, an homage, a revamp, a follow-up, WHATEVER - the idea was stolen. I don't buy the thought process that creating something from other sources is as "bad" as redoing/copying and idea from a site posted here - at least, in relation to THIS site, which is pretty much all that matters unless we took this to another website.

Example: If I invented the pizza by using (or "stealing", if you want to call it that) pepperoni, cheese, bread, etc. that is not the same thing as if someone watched me invent the pizza, open a store, and then open up their OWN pizza store down the street.

I used to do the occasional fad site - in all but one of the circumstances it was early on in the lifespan where it was not even a given that it WOULD be a fad - and there's nothing inherently wrong with or bad about fad sites either. The problem is the people who jump on these bandwagons lack the necessary "funny" or creativity to make it work. I'm so tired of this site - correction - the USERS on this site in general that I'm more tempted to just do something simpler from now on...

...just so something different is out there. Too many people have turned into lazy, humorless f*ckheads who rely on a preloader and a current hot thing to try to get into their precious top 15/top 5. Fads aren't bad - the users are.
